Childproof your home

When small children appear in the house, a regular apartment is no longer completely safe. Many things that adults don’t pay attention to can become dangerous for a child. The most common risks at home are unstable furniture, electrical outlets, windows, and cabinets that are easy to open.

One of the first things I recommend is securing furniture to the wall. Dressers, cabinets, shelves, and TVs can tip over if a child tries to climb on them. Outlet covers are also important because kids quickly learn to put fingers or objects into sockets. Windows should have safety locks or stoppers, especially in apartments above the first floor. In the kitchen and bathroom, cabinet locks help prevent access to chemicals, glass, or sharp tools. Corner protectors on tables and furniture are another simple upgrade that can prevent injuries.

These small improvements make a big difference in home safety and usually don’t take much time to install.

If you are located in San Francisco, I can help with this.
